The Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ), also known as Sunport, is the primary international airport for the state of New Mexico, particularly the Albuquerque metropolitan area. Most of the airlines that fly out of Sunport are major U.S. small and big carriers, including: Southwest, American, United, Delta, Alaska, Sun Country, Advanced Air and JetBlue. The most popular destinations from the Albuquerque Sunport are: Denver, Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles and Houston. For travelers and vacationers, this airport offers several outdoor parking lots (Premium Economy and Basic Economy) as well as a large parking four-level garage, located directly in front of the terminal building. If you don't need a parking space for your vehicle and just want to let someone get out of or into the car, you can use the pick-up zone and drop-off zone in front of the ABQ departure hall to stop. The pick-up area and drop-off area at the Albuquerque Airport in New Mexico is our car park option number 1.

Compared to multi-terminal hubs, ABQ Sunport's single-terminal layout with its 22 gates and 2 concourses A and B makes ground transport straightforward. Passengers departing from the Albuquerque Airport can be dropped off in front of the terminal entrance (Upper Level). The Kiss-and-Fly drop-off point provides passengers with direct access to the building. You can get your passengers out of the vehicle with their luggage in the curb closest to your airline. There are several baggage cart stations on site. When you return from vacation, you'll need to walk down to the baggage claim area on the first floor. The first sidewalk pickup lane is located directly in front of the exit from the baggage claim area. So, if you have orded a private car or if your friends or relatives are supposed to pick you up, you just have to wait right out the doors of the terminal building (Arrivals). The pickup area is covered, paved, and well-lit. There are numerous benches for travelers and several luggage cart stations there. Parking spaces, where passengers with disabilities can be picked up, are marked with a blue disability symbol. The maximum height limit in the pickup area is 10 ft. 6 in. (3.20 meters). The ground transportation island is located across the street outside the doors 5 and 6. The hotel pickup shuttle area and public city bus stops are located there. This area is well-lit, paved, monitored by video surveillance, and has no maximum height restriction for cars and buses.
Outward flight: The fact that Albuquerque Airport has only one terminal makes things simpler in some ways. However, in other respects, complications can arise upon arrival at the terminal, as the curbside lanes for commercial vehicles are strictly regulated, and traffic jams can quickly form in the upper-level departure area during peak hours. If you want to drop someone off at the terminal building, you'll need to drive to the Upper Level (Departures). It is recommended that you arrive there 2 hours before your flight. Park your car at the curb closest to your airline, let your passengers get out with their luggage, and drive on. Long-term parking is not allowed there.
Return flight: After your return flight at Sunport Airport, go downstairs to baggage claim. After picking up your luggage, proceed to the terminal exit. The pickup line is located right in front of the terminal exit (Doors 5 and 6). If you need to walk to the public city bus stops, use Exit (Door 1). The hotel pickup shuttle area is located across the street.
